V2X (vehicle-to-everything) communications are innovative systems that enable communication between vehicles and between vehicles and the environment. They allow vehicles to send and receive messages. These include their location, speed, and heading. Advanced V2X systems vastly improve driving comfort and safety standards and help avoid congestion and traffic accidents. Ongoing work focuses on improving the precision of vehicle-mounted sensors and methods to make V2X systems more secure against possible cyber attacks.
